Considering the Socio-Cognitive and Contextual Foundations of Mixed-Initiative Intelligence

This paper focuses on the social-laden components of cooperation and how mixed-initiative computing must be developed with this in mind. The nature of experimental work is examined from the perspective of a real world environment unmanned air vehicles consisting of illdefined, emergent properties that demand coordinated teamwork. Mixed-initiative intelligence is hence examined from the flow of actor-environment transactions where articulation work becomes a basis for deriving joint cognitive system architectures.
